Reorder PDF pages
Drag pages into the right order on a live thumbnail grid — or use the ◀ ▶ buttons under each page if you prefer clicking to dragging (they also make this work with a keyboard). One button reverses the entire document, which fixes the classic back-to-front scanner stack in a single click.
Wrong page order is almost always a scanning artifact: sheet feeders that emit last-page-first, double-sided passes assembled by hand, a page pulled out for re-scanning and returned to the wrong slot. The grid view makes the problem — and the fix — visible.

How it works
- Drop your PDF — every page appears as a numbered thumbnail.
- Drag pages into position, or nudge them with the ◀ ▶ buttons.
- Whole stack backwards? Click “Reverse page order” once.
- Click “Save reordered PDF” and download.
Interleaving two documents
If your real problem is two separate files that need weaving together — odd pages in one, even pages in the other — don’t reorder by hand. The alternate & mix merge interleaves them automatically, including the reversed-second-file case, and takes seconds regardless of page count.
Reordering is lossless: pages are repositioned, not re-rendered. The saved file has identical page content in the new sequence.
Good to know
- The number badge under each thumbnail is the page’s original position, so you can always tell where a page came from mid-shuffle.
- The save button stays disabled until the order actually differs from the original — if it’s greyed out, nothing has moved yet.
Frequently asked questions
Can I move a page to a completely different position in a long PDF?
Yes — drag it directly to the target slot; the grid scrolls as you drag. For very long documents the ◀ ▶ buttons are slower; dragging across the grid or extracting pages in a custom order may suit better.
Does reordering break links or bookmarks?
Links within a page keep working. Document-level bookmarks that point at specific pages are not preserved through a reorder — they’d point at the wrong pages anyway. If your document relies on its outline, reorder cautiously.
My scanner produced last-page-first output. One click fix?
Yes — “Reverse page order”, then save. For future scans, most scanner utilities have a “reverse page order” option worth enabling for stack feeding.
