The service

EditPDFLocally provides free tools that edit PDF files entirely in your browser. Because processing happens on your device, your documents are never transmitted to us — see the privacy policy.

Your files, your rights, your responsibility

You keep every right to the documents you process; we acquire none (we never even receive them). You’re responsible for what you process and for having the right to process it — and for keeping your originals. The tools always produce new files and never modify what’s on your disk, but backups are your job.

Verify important output

The tools are built and tested carefully, but PDFs in the wild are wildly inconsistent. Before relying on an output file for anything consequential — a court filing, a submission deadline, a signed agreement — open it and check it. Where a court, agency or portal publishes technical requirements, those requirements govern, not this site’s descriptions of common practice.

No warranty; limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from use of the site — a free tool whose entire operation happens on your own device. Nothing here is legal advice, including the guides that discuss legal workflows.

Acceptable use

Don’t use the site to infringe others’ rights or break the law, and don’t attack, scrape abusively, or attempt to disrupt the site. That’s it — there are no accounts to terminate.

We may update the tools and these terms; the “last updated” date above reflects the current version. Material changes will appear on this page.
